Since the inauguration of the quarters at Potsdamer Platz in October 1998, Potsdamer Platz has been visited daily by about 70,000 people. 10,000 people work in the area, of whom 60% travel by public transport and 40% travel by car.
Potsdamer Platz can be reached by tram using the U2 (U-Bahn tram stops at Potsdamer Platz and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Park), or by urban railway using the S1, S2 or the S25 (S-Bahn station Potsdamer Platz). The Deutsche Bahn regional railway station has been in use since June 2006. Parking is available for a total of 4,000 cars in underground parking garages and in the Gleisdreieck parking building.
