From October 8–15, 2025, Berlin will once again transform into a dazzling work of art: the 21st Berlin Festival of Lights invites you to experience the capital in a whole new light under the motto “Let’s Shine Together.” This year, the focus is on unity, community, and connection. Over 60 light artworks at iconic landmarks and unexpected locations tell stories that bring people together and make Berlin shine.
Potsdamer Platz is also part of this spectacular light experience. Seven locations turn into creative stages for light art:
Daily from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking variety of light art — whether strolling along illuminated facades, snapping photos, or simply marveling at the city’s vibrant energy.
Experience the Festival of Lights at Potsdamer Platz on a special free walking tour! During the one-hour tour, you’ll discover fascinating insights into the artworks as well as the history and development of this vibrant area. The German-language tours start daily at 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM at Marlene-Dietrich-Platz.
