Every Monday and Thursday between July 14 and July 24 , the Re-Use Art Factory invites you to a special kind of after-work break in the Pop-Up Store at The Playce: In a relaxed setting, discarded plastic is transformed into new lighting objects – sustainable, functional, and full of creative flair.
How can leftover plastic become a glowing design piece? In this experimental after-work workshop, the Material Mafia will demonstrate how colorful plastic parts can be turned into unique lampshades – whether abstract, playful, or minimalist. The focus is on creative reuse and a mindful approach to materials that would otherwise end up in the trash.
With expert guidance and in a laid-back atmosphere, participants will learn how to thermally shape, cut, and reassemble plastic. The result: one-of-a-kind lighting pieces – each a handmade original. Each workshop lasts 2.5 hours and is open to all age groups and experience levels.
