It’s that time of the year again: The Berlinale returns to Potsdamer Platz to celebrate its 75th anniversary! From February 13 to 23, the Theater at Potsdamer Platz transforms into the Berlinale Palast, and visitors can look forward to the latest film premieres from around the world and exciting festival-related events.
On February 13, the film “The Light” will open this year’s festival. The world premiere of Tom Tykwer’s latest movie features a stellar cast, with internationally acclaimed German star Lars Eidinger and renowned actress and director Nicolette Krebitz in the leading roles.
Actress Tilda Swinton can look forward to a special honor: This year, she will be awarded the Golden Honorary Bear for her impressive body of work.
In addition to exciting premieres and unforgettable moments on the red carpet, visitors can once again enjoy a vibrant program surrounding the film festival, including the Berlinale Merch Store.
