For when disco diva Deloris suddenly has to go into hiding in a convent, two worlds collide: with her groove, she stirs up the church choir, strikes up a whole new tune penned by eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (including Disney’s ALADDIN & BEAUTY AND THE BEAST) and causes divine chaos. Instead of the glamour of the stage lights, she finds herself in a conservative convent, where she is supposed to go into hiding as a humble nun — much to the chagrin of the strict Mother Superior... In the church choir, the singer is meant to become part of the congregation, but the nuns can’t hit a single note, so Deloris takes over as conductor. With her at the helm, every service becomes a spectacle and the masses attract ever-growing crowds – but when they are finally due to perform before the Pope, the gangsters catch wind of Deloris and the nuns find themselves unexpectedly in grave danger...
