This year marks the third edition of Doxumentale: from 27 May to 7 June 2026, cinemas and venues across Berlin will be transformed into venues for documentary films, VR experiences, media projects and readings: all centred on the issues that really matter right now.
What awaits you? The program is wide-ranging. It’s not about showing as much as possible, but rather what is most relevant. The focus is on social issues that move people: political, personal and perhaps even uncomfortable at times. A central theme of this year’s festival is female perspectives. Titled Female Lens, the project explores how realities come into being, and how our view of things changes fundamentally when women don't just appear in a story but tell it themselves.
And the Manifesto Market is also part of the line-up: it features a dedicated accompanying program for children, which is free to access and aims to give young visitors their very own introduction to documentary films. So if you’re bringing the kids along, they’ll be in good hands. More information is available directly from Manifesto Market.
🎟️ Information, the full programme and tickets are available on: www.doxumentale.de 🕒 27 May to 7 June 2026 📍 The bustling festival centre is located right at Potsdamer Platz in the Atrium Tower.
It’s well worth a visit!
