The multidisciplinary designer Chris Page focuses his work on environmental graphics, visual identity, and placemaking. He creates immersive experiences that captivate and connect people within the built environment. His vibrant designs tell stories and enrich spatial experiences.
Inspired by the iconic subway tiles and the heritage of German design, Chris Page transforms traditional materials into a bold celebration of form, color, and legacy in his work "Berlin." Influenced by the Bauhaus movement, particularly its grid systems and the striking textiles of Anni Albers, this artwork reinterprets the interplay of structure and abstraction.
Using colored tiles arranged in geometric compositions, the piece spells out the word "Berlin," which becomes subtly visible from a distance but dissolves into dynamic patterns up close. This duality invites discovery and reflects the multifaceted character of the city.
