Every superhero has an origin story. Tony Stark needed a cave and some scrap metal. Bruce Banner needed gamma rays. All you need this summer is a hand of cards.

Because on 10 and 11 July 2026, Marvel is teaming up with the popular card game Magic: The Gathering, right in the heart of The Playce. Up to 100 people can play the new Marvel set from Magic: The Gathering here at the same time, compete against each other and write their own heroic story together. Anyone who takes part in all the activities will collect special oversized cards as a reward. And if you’ve never played Magic before, this is the perfect place to get started. Experienced players will be on hand to explain the rules and guide you through your first game. Whether you’re a Magic pro or a complete novice: everyone’s welcome here!

But there’s plenty going on away from the gaming table too. An airbrush tattoo artist offers a wide selection of Magic symbols. In the photo booth, you can snap photos to take home and share, and at the crane machine, prizes await anyone with a bit of luck. You can also find out if you’ve got what it takes to be a real hero at the Superhero Parkour. And if you need a break in between: the DUO Store has bean bags and a lounge area, as well as plenty of Magic merchandise waiting for you.
